Definition of Source Types ????

When programming my DVD Recorder to come on and record a TV show, it makes me choose one of the following sources:

1. PR 001
2. DV
3. SCART
4. SVIDEO1
5. SVIDEO2
6. CVBS1, or
7. CVBS2.

The manual doesn't explain what these sources are. Which is stupid. Any ideas?

2. DV - DV input
3. SCART - scart input
4. SVIDEO1 - svideo input
5. SVIDEO2 - svideo input
6. CVBS1, or - composite?
7. CVBS2. - composite?

Have you setup the TV channels correctly?

There is no SCART for U.S.A.

Well, I have satelite tv. So the recorder's tuner only recognizes channel 3. Have to change channels with the satelite tv remote.

At any rate, I believe that the channels are set up correctly.

I know that to program to record I have to schedule the Direct TV to kick on at a certain time and on a certain channel. I also have to set the recorder to kick on at the same time.

But in terms of selecting the "source" for programming, I get those options that I don't understand.
