I just put a new Pioneer DVR-K05 Slimline slot load DVD+/-RW Dual Layer DVD Rewritable Drive in my G4 550 pismo.Toast sees the drive and everything seems to be fine with ripping and then burning a -R disc but when attempting to burn a +R everything seems good until toast tries to verify. I get an error message "sector 0 is unreadable". my machine spits the disc out and when you pop it back in it just spits it back out again.
+R discs burned elsewhere are fine.
I have not tried yet but another concern is whether or not I will be able to burn dual layer +R's.
Please help.
Thanks,
Stan

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a good camera is worth about a thousand bucks.

Stan, I suggest not burning single-layer +R discs. They
are generally incompatible with most players. Use the +R
only for dual-layer discs.
You've no reason for concern, yet.Al Bloom -
I understand that using only -R's is a work around but I still wonder about the above.
