They are apparently around, but hard to find: https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=307480 May be a little easier now, as that post was a while back.

EDIT: This company seems to have them for $20 for 2: http://www.theelectroniccompany.com/vdw-dl85gu2.html I've never dealt with them, though. Or do a Google search for 'jvc dual layer rw'. Still hard to find, though. And it's unknown how they would work with different DVD burners, if at all.
