I have had a PioneerDVR-233 for a few months, and it generally works well. However, it has hung up a few times, refusing to open the drive door, and has required re-powering. Which generally fixes the problem. Except for the last time, when it seemed to take exception to the Maxell DVD-R blank disk that I inserted. It refused to give up the disc, even when unplugged and restarted. The display screen just hung on "LOAD".
I opened the drive and removed the offending disc, and the machine worked well with any other disc I inserted. When I re-inserted the offending Maxell - just to see what would happen- it hung up again.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
