    I have aquestion. What is the most compatible format a CBR or VBR coded MPEG-2 file... I mean, which should I use to get i to play in as many DVD players as possible.

    SVCD normally uses MPEG2 VBR.
    You can use CBR, but i cant see any advantages of CBR.
    If a DVD Player can play SVCD that it can play VBR.
