I get a steady trickle of emails from zdnet about their 'latest' downloads... was thinking I should get the oil changed on my Registry soon, but when I went there to find one, my old favorites were buried in a couple dozen newerfangled trial versions- some coming in at 9 megs!
Anybody got a real good reason to pick a particular one these days?
Regarding vid work, anything you'd do special by way of tuneup?

Search for Zangalist. He tested a dozen different ones.
Read that NONE of the famous one do ****. Most of them seem to pick up problems at random. Run it once, fix all the problems, and run it again, and it'll find MORE problems. -
Thanks KS- mebbe someday we'll get a real OS; one that can fix itself without downloads!:]

I usually run CCleaner for registry cleanup. You may have to run the registry cleaner a couple times to get everything but after it fixes the problem and then fixes the problems that fixing the problems caused then it doesn't keep finding thing randomly.
