    hello,
i am interested in placing videos from my digital camera onto DVD. the videos are in .MOV format. I do have some experience in Photoshop and would like to make custom dvd menus with fonts and images of my own choice. thank you in advance and i look forward to hearing from someone soon.

    thank you for the response.
the program looks like exactly what i need.
the audio in the home videos is quite low so i would like
to maximize the volume without clipping and then resave
the video. it is the .MOV format.
how do i go about doing this?
also, how do i go about converting the .MOV files
to the proper dvd format and then onto
burning the DVD on blank DVD media?
    thank you in advance.

    you have to edit (maybe)

encode the audio to ac3 dvd compliant with an audio encoder

encode the video to mpeg2 dvd compliant with a mpeg encoder

    create a dvd menu

add all the parts together in a DVD authoring program and create a fully authored DVD with menus and chapter and what not ...

burn this to a blank dvd and test .....

you can get a program like ulead to HELP you do a lot of the steps - but nothing is automatic - nor can be explained here in 20 words or less ..

lot of guides to the left to help you get started and welcome to the world of DVD and this site

    what programs would you recommend
to acheive all the processes that
    you mentioned?
i prefer freeware, but i will pay
if the program achieves my goal.
    thank you in advance.
