  1. Hello,

I just bought a copy of the simpsons season 8 and I'm having a problem backing it up with DVD decrypter(final version) and DVDfab (latest version). I used DVDshrink 3.2 to burn it to disc. I keep getting a wrong region error when I play certain episodes on the 1st DVD.

Please, help my teenage son is very rough on our DVD's and I don't want him to get the original version. I have already replaced version 3 and 5.

    Thanks
    Paul

I would suggest Slysoft's AnyDVD & CloneDVD, they should do the trick. There is a 21 day free trial for both programs.

You might also try disciplining your son, if he doesn't respect your property, you shouldn't let him use it.

  3. You can also load all of the files into IFOedit and get that to remove the region coding - I have only found one or two discs that had coding in one or more of the IFO files that was missed by a ripper, but IFOedit got the lot.

Do a search through videohelp regard "fox episode disc". The error that pops up when you rip with dvd decryptor is something like "this disc is not formatted for this region" or something like that - and the burned disc will not play in any player that I know of.

There was an excellent tutorial on this site regarding this.

I haven't tried DVDFabDecryptor on a Fox disc, so not certain if it'll work.
