  1. Avoid buying your blank media at Yesbuy.net they are also promedia-usa.com. I placed a order last week they returned a email right away saying they got my order. about 4 days later they charged my credit card I figured they shipped my item. after a few days passed I emailed them to find out what happen to my order guess what the item is back ordered till the end of this month. That was nice of then to not tell me any thing I had to force them to email me. dont waste your time ordering from a company like this.

I tried Meritline.com they didnt do so bad but 2 of the dvd-rw they sent where read only cds. now they want me to ship them back to get a refund. thats going to cost me as much as they are worth. The sample pack of 12 ea dvd-r all worked but none of the labels match what the disk were.

Does any know who I can order good dvd media from and get some good service? Iam willing to pay more for the items to really get what I pay for and have it delieved

  2. dxn,

Staples.com is starting to stock spindles of media. I purchased (2) 15 packs of TDK-R 2x media (silver top) for $40.00 each. It works out to roughly $2.66 per disc. Ordered them online Wednesday and had them in my hands Friday morning.

I'm sure you might be able to find cheaper media - for now I'm sticking with what I know works.

  3. I have purchased twice from Yesbuy and never will again. I had a similar experience and they overcharged me on shipping to 150% over what was posted on pricewatch. It took a month to get my order and about that long to get the pricing straightened out.

  4. Always use www.resellerratings.com before you buy. Here's what people have said about Yesbuy:

It would of been great if I've found this thread earlier. Last year, I purchased the $26 dollar 200 disc special from yesbuy.net and I was ripped off. The media lacked the blue lead-in ring around the hub, rendering the disc unuseable. I tried to return them and they told me that it was too late (only two weeks transpired). I won't be buying from them again!!!!!!!

For me $26 is a big waste considering how stagnant the economy is.

  8. I don't recommend supermediastore.com at the moment. I ordered double dvd cases and they still havn't shipped them or even given me a tracking number. I called them the past several days and they just told me they will re-ship them. awful. I would go elsewhere.

Yesbuy is probably one of the worst online media sellers, bar none. It is rivaled only by esbuy and americal, two more that are really poor.

The best place to purchase media is anywhere in your area that sells it. When there is a problem you can walk right into the store and return them. No return shipping, no waiting, no double charged credit cards. Best thing is you know exactly which media you are going to be buying and receiving because you actually picked it up off the shelf. The only reason I would buy media online is because I needed a couple thousand discs and they all needed to be the same. If so, I'd buy from supermediastore.com. I have never had any serious problems with them. I have had a few issues with them but the mistakes were corrected without any noteworthy problems.

I don't agree with "know exactly which media you are going to be buying and receiving because you actually picked it up" because you don't know until you run it on Nero CD-DVD Speed or DVDInfo Pro.Most retail stores will return media if you are unhappy and have a receipt.
As for supermediastore and zipzoomfly:I agree and have ordered from them, newegg is also good.

This all comes back to your own knowledge. I can buy online or in stores, and I almost always know precisely what media I am getting. I buy only after armed with knowledge of what to get.

Not really an option if you need hub printable media. You generally can't buy that in B&M stores.
