    Hey,
Has anyone downloaded the "Adobe Premiere 6.5-Style Preset Collection"?
    at : http://www.mainconcept.com/adobemedia/downloads.html

I read the information and I am a bit confused. I have premiere pro 1.5, but not sure if it is needed. It seems to me that they are the same presets that come with pro 1.5 but with the names of the presets in premiere 6.5.

the info says that both are fast and of good quality and are capable of 2 passes, so is it just the filenames for people used to the 6.5 version?

    YES, I'm new at this.

The custom settings in the Premiere MPeg Encoder can be saved as .vpr files. The default selections vary by version. I think this collection of custom *.vpr settings match what was in v6.5 or are optimized v6.5 settings that can be applied in Premiere Pro.

I don't like the MPeg2 presets in v1.5. They are overly compressed to my taste.
