I want to use DVD Decrypter to rip both File Mode and IFO Mode. I was thinking once I rip to file mode that it would be quicker to rip to IFO mode if I used the results of my first rip. So, is there a way to tell DVD Decrypter to use a VIDEO_TS folder as the source instead of the DVD disc? I am assuming that would be more efficient.

    zakman,

No, DvdDecrypter only works with dvd drives for the source. Even if you could figure out a way to pull it off, it would ultimately take longer, and be more work.

DVDDecrypter can only accept input from optical drives (this includes disc images mounted to appear as if they are optical devices).

No, there isn't. You'd need to rip to an ISO file, or create an ISO image of the VIDEO_TS folder, and then mount that with Daemon Tools or similar. Unless you have an excessively slow DVD drive, I think you'd find it quicker to just rip in IFO mode from the original disc.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  4. Once the complete DVD is on the hard drive, You can use PGCDemux to get the various PGCs.

Thanks all. I guess I'll just stick with the two-step process. I might try to see if I can get it to work from a batch file but I haven't looked into DVD Decrypter's command line options to know if that is possible (this won't make things happen any faster, but at least it would all be done in one step).

I tried PgcDemux and it does not do what I want. I don't want to demux, I just want to get a single VOB file. Also, I found that when it did demux, the length of the video stream was only about 1/2 of what it was supposed to be. Womble's MVW has a demuxer that does not have this problem.
