    Over the last year I have been experiencing intermitant layer seperation with the silver top 8x Taiyo Yuden DVD-R's. It first shows up as a oily rainbow look in the center ring out to the first silver ring. I thought the DVD case hubs were tearing the layers apart so I just sacrificed a disc and gently used my fingernail and the center hub wasn't bonded at all. I just popped open a new batch and they are fine.
    Anyone else?

    Check the forums on CDFreaks.com and CDRLabs.com. Apparently this is a known issue with TY discs that is getting worse.
