I was planning to back-up Pearl Harbor.
The movie takes about 176 minutes, and when i use Bitrate Calculator i got the following :
Video Min : 176, 0 sec.
Audio bitrate : 224 kbit/s
CD's : 3 x 80 min.
Type: SVCD
Calculated Average bitrate : 1608 kbit/s.
Then i used DVDx 1.6 to convert the DVD-movie to MPG, and set the video-bitrate at 1600 kbit/s and audio 224 kbit/s.
That is what BitrateCalc did calculated for me.
When convert-job is done, i have one big MPG file of 2.448.071 kB, thats about 2,44 GB.
When i split it to 3 parts (3 cd's), i got 3 MPG's of 813 MB.
When i want to burn the MPG's to cd, using Nero, it says the file is to big to burn on a CD.
Is Nero wrong and should i overburn it, or is BitrateCalc calculate wrong with calculating ??
