When I convert a xvid to dvd with svcd2dvd the audio is out of sync, I only convert single full xvid movies, I also convert the audio to ac3.
This has only just started happening and I have tried xvids I had succesfully converted to dvd previously and it is happening with those, I have also tried reinstalling svcd2dvd, my system has also not changed and I have tested the files in virtual dub

Do you run your xvid or divx movie through avimux gui first? If not, you should. It can fix sync problems before you burn them. There is a thread in the SVCD2DVD forum describing the simple procedure for doing this.
Mark -
There are no sync problems pre svcd2dvd Ive even re-converted xvid files that I have converted in the past, the sync problem has only started recently and is not down to 1 file. I dont put multiple files on to dvd just tends to be 1 movie file Could it be a codec on my system causing the problem
-
Well...short of trying what I suggested I would not know what could have caused the problem. Have you installed or removed any programs that precipitated the problem you are having? I just don't know. Maybe you will have to wait for Chrissyboy to help you out.
I would like to suggest to you to at least try to run it through avimux gui. Every divx/xvid file that I put into SVCD2DVD goes through the avimux gui program and I have never had a sync issue since I started using it. Short of that, I can't help you anymore. Sorry.
