ES35V Recordings won’t play on standalones

I have made several recordings on both +R and -R and nothing will play on my standalones. Both are Sonys. One is a DVP-S550D the other is a DVP-F21. I used Memorex -R and Sony +R Is this a common problem? And yes I finalized. and they play on the ES35V

I have a Sony and Panasonic standalone and both play -R and +R from the ES35V with no problems. I only use Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden media however which are both highly regarded.
