  1. Hello all,

I recently created an SVCD compliant MPEG2 file which plays perfectly on my PC. However, when I created an SVCD with Nero, the CD plays OK, but the audio is not in sync. Can someone please assist?. Many thanks. Joe.

I assume you used something like TMPGE to encode the video? If so I have exactly the same problem, its is very frustrating.

I capture the video to avi with an Asus v3800 ultra, encode to svcd standard using TMPGE and the audio is still sync'd with the video. Soon as write it using Nero (tried all versions) the audio is out of sync when I play it in the DVD (XMS 750).

If I use Nero to do the encoding, I don't have any audio sync problems. Although occasionally the video will be upside down and back to front, very weird!

I have ordered an mpeg 2 capture card but I'd really like to sort out the problem with TMPGE as most people seem to use it without any problems. As a last resort I reformatted my hard drive, installed ME and just the drivers/software I needed and I still have the audio sync problem.

I really have run out of ideas at this point, any suggestions from anyone would really be appreciated. PLEASE!!!!!
