    Hi folks,

This is my first post here, forum came highly recommended by an associate. I know very little about consumer DVD players and recently came across a problem with a wedding slideshow I produced for a client. I've been producing DVD slideshows for two years using and they always played well on other DVD players and this is a first encounter for me that the video would play but has no sound.

My workflow goes like this. Songs are taken from Audio CDs using Nero 7's "Convert Audio CD to Audio Files" tool, MP3Pro Encoder/192 bits/Stereo/ .. slideshow MPEG-2 are created using CodeJam's Memories On TV Pro 3.0.3 then transcoded using Nero 7's Vision 4. Audio options selected are Stereo intead of Auto and 2-pass VBR in High Quality settings (PAL System). The finished DVD plays but has no sound on a Onkyo DR-L50 but it plays on other DVD players, Philips, LG, etc..

Has anyone encountered this problem and can the situation be fixed by changing settings on the player?

What is the audio format of the finished slideshow ? mpeg1-layer2 audio may bot work in all NTSC players, and may not work if sent from the DVD player as a bitstream unless oyu have an mpeg audio decoder.

Why are you transcoding with Nero when Memories onTV can produce a compliant DVD structure as output ?
