    My brother is looking to convert his exported DV project in iMovie to XviD. Being that I'm a PC person I thought this would be the best place to ask. I recommnended D-vision to him but he told me that it won't let him import DV. Freeware tools would be best, but I'm aware of FFMPEGx.

    It's an oldie but a goodie: Openshiiva does excellent DV to XviD conversion.
    Go off and rule the universe from beyond the grave. Or check into a psycho ward, whichever comes first, eh?
