Nero won't burn zip files

I am using Nero 7 Ultra Edition.
I am trying to write a data dvd using nero express but when adding files to be burned it refuses to add zip files.
I have checked all the setup preferences and found nothing to exclude these files. In the add files window the add all files is selected.
Anyone else having this problem?

You do have it set to DVD and are burning as data, correct?
What is the error message you are getting?

Yes it is set for DVD data.
There is no error message.
All files will be added except zip. I added enough files to fill up a dvd and then found out that I was short on files. Turned out to be 12 zip files that did not add.
I experimented with just zip and got nothing.

I'm not familiar enough with Nero to give you an answer, but a zip file is a data file, so it should burn.

I found this on Nero's site, however.

Apparently Nerto does a virus scan on data files, but was unable to do this on zip files in previous versions.
Try updating your version of Nero.
