I'm a bit of a newbie with editing and am looking for some sites that would give me editing tips.

I am creating a youthy type video so need it to be punchy. I'd like to see good examples of editing so I can learn from that. I'm not so good with reading text and learning that way. I've got to be able to "see" it in action.

Also, being a newbie I am finding that I've some lighting issues especially indoors. I've managed to catch a few flourescent lights and thought I could deal with them "in post" but, using Levels, Hue and Saturation/Luminouscity, curves etc does not really deal with it well.
I suppose you're limited as to what you can do in post?

    Any comments?

ps: I am running Vegas 6

If you can white balance your camera in the light your shooting under.
Also filters for the camera can help and are inexpensive.
The last is if you don't have white balance and can't control the lighting.

yep. there are filters specifically for compensating the color of flourescent lighting.

Just for clarification, when you say you 'caught a few florescent lights'; Do you mean they have been included in the video frame and the flare from them is changing your brightness levels? Or do you just mean they have shifted your color balance?

And what is the source format of the video?
