    Hi All,

    I'm looking to buy a versitile DVD player (not a portable one). I would like it to

    1. play all DVD and CD formats (-R, +R, etc)

    2. play .mpeg, .wmv, .avi, .mp3, .wma and view .jpeg. Basically I'd like to be able to view and listen to the majority of formats that exist.

    3. Have a good size hard disk, say 160Gb and above

    4. I'm not interested in HD at the moment.

    Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be a good choice?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Why would you want a dvd player with a hard drive?

    If it's an excellent player (no hard drive) that you seek
    ...I also would recommend the Oppo 971.
