Every time i try to run any of the TMPG programs they shut down as soon as i try to open the file im converting. My comp had done this previously when tried to burn image files but resolved this by uninstalling Daemon and just leaving NERO to burn and run image files. I think it could be a problem with NERO taking over everything but i didnt have this problem before on my old comp.

Can someone please give me a bit of help here as im pulling my hair out with frustration!!!!

Yeah with all types of files and all the tmpg programs, tmpg express, tmpg plus etc. I had thesame problem with image files, every time i tried to open one it would just shut down, that was with every program, including nero. At first i got round it by right clicking on file and selecting open with.....nero etc, and it worked then, i could burn or run images no problem that way.

Finally fixed it by un-installing all image programs and re-installing nero and just running that.

I usually just use NERO for everything cos its simple for my pickled brain, but occasionally i get ahold of an AVI file or DIV-X file that just wont work with nero and fails half way through the conversion.

TMPG plus v2.521. TMPG express v3.0.4

try the change the directshow reader priority in tmpgenc plus, www.videohelp.com/tmpgenc#problems
it might help if you increase it.

or just convert with something else easy to use like the free DivXtoDVD or ConvertXtoDVD.
