It happened after I accidently hit the burn button when I had a dvdram disc in my drive. I think it's reading all my blank dvdrs as dvdram discs now. I've uninstalled the drive from device manager and restarted my computer but it's still doing the same thing. Any ideas?

Is the drive in DMA Mode? Go to Device Manager, and check the Properties of your IDE controller, probably the Secondary controller. If the Transfer Mode setting is PIO, switch it to DMA and reboot. Also, you can delete the secondary controller and reboot, and it should put the drives in DMA mode after detecting the controller.
