    Hi

I am working on a 2 minute video from a dvd, that i need to extract, reedit and export again. I have no access to original dv tape.

    The steps are:

1/ extract from dvd to avi, with aoa dvd ripper
2/ import and edit in premiere pro (APP)
    3/ encode in APP mainconcept
4/ create dvd structure in Encore
    5/ burn in sonic

Unfortunately, the beginning of this sequence has movement, its ok on my PC but it's very poor quality on a DVD player. It looks like a dodgy video you download from internet and play on yuor player.

I have tried lots of encoding options in APP, even tried to create the dvd directly from APP, but i still have this horrible blurry, staggered, jarred movement.

I have also tried to import the avi in Encore instead, and let encore do the auto transcoding. The video is only 2 minutes so plenty of options to transcode nicely.

Finally I've used the MS AVI format to export the movie from APP as opposed to DV AVI. This way the sound is not umcompressed, and i see a slight improvement in the image flow (unless its placebo effect). But if if i select AC3 instead of PCM then the sound is saturated.

I have run out of ideas. Please help, its getting urgent

Thanks for your answer mate. You can check the options i use in aoa dvd ripper in the screen grab attached. I think its still interlaced.
And the frame rate should be 25 all the way (the dvd is pal, im in oz too!).
    WHat does Huffyuv v2.1.1 do?
    Thanks again.
