Hello,
The Enosoft Enhanced DV Decoder has been updated to version 1.6.0.0. The most significant change is to Video for Windows support. Previously, installing the VfW version would adversely affect some existing VfW DV codecs. We have developed a work around which allows our decoder portion to co-exist with the encoder portion of any third-party VfW DV codecs (e.g, MainConcept or Panasonic).
We have tested it thoroughly with the latest build of VirtualDub with both the MainConcept and Panasonic codecs. There are no issues. It also works very well with Adobe Premiere 4.2 (yes, really! It's a VfW-based app so a good one to try). Ulead VideoStudio 8.0 SE Basic is problematic at this time.
We will post how-to guides shortly demonstrating how to burn timecode, date, camera info onto DV using VirtualDub and the Enhanced DV Decoder.
If you have tried this product in the past and found it unusable with VfW applications, we hope this version will resolve the problems. We have reset the trial period so you can try the new version even if the trial period has expired previously.
Thank you.
