  1. As you may have read in another post earlier, I have the TDA trial version and have ran into an error.

I am trying to author a dvd(I have done one successfully) of my own short home videos. In my next one, I wanted to include a small clip from a movie I own. So I went to source>add media(whatever). Clicked on the one that says pull from DVD-R blah blah. Insert the DVD-R, burned to the Harddrive. Put the movie into TDA, clipped the selection I wanted and when I hit ok, it tells me the video bitrate is too high for standard DVD. Says standard is 9.8...and that my clip is 9.81. Why is this, and how do I fix it? Do I have to burn the .vob files to HDD independently and then get a prog to change the .vob to mpeg2 and then go from there? Or is there an easier way to change the bitrate?

I tried just ignoring and going from there, but of course the video playback is choppy and distorted.

    Would appreciate any info...

Usually clicking ignore on a "too high bitrate" commercial clip will play normally - such as trailers.

However you would have to reencode it to a lower bitrate. Use the tmpgenc editing program and drop it to like 8000 or so. There should be little noticeable drop in quality.
