    Hello everybody,

Please help. I have backed up a DVD movie in PAL (The Ninth Gate) and recoded it into NTCS. I use Canopus Procoder 2 for recoding.

I picked “VOB files for direct burning” in the Procoder options. After the recoding has been done, I’ve got an amazing picture and everything was fine but there is no sound.

The audio settings in Procoder Source are as follows:
    Audio stream: Original Audio
    Audio Stream Source: VTS_01_1.VOB
    Audio Stream: Stream D: 0xbd80(AC3)
Stream Type: ATSC Digital Audio Compression (AC-3) Revision A
AC3 Decoder: Nero Digital Audio Decoder
    Sample Rate: 48.000
    Audio Bitrate: 448
    Audio Stereo/Mono: 3/2+LFE
    Flags: Original. Copyright Protected.

    The target audio settings are:
    Use Audio: Always
Audio Stream type: PCM (Wave file)
    Sample rate: 48.0
    Channels: 2
    Bit/Sample: 16

I also tried to change PCM (Wave file) to MPEG Audio Layer-2 with 224 kbps Audio Bitrate.

Nothing works. There is no sound at all.

    Thank you!

I actually did try Program/Elementary stream. I've got two files - one video and the second audio but there was no sound when I tried just to play the video file through Win Media Player. I tried to burn it with Nero but there was no sound too.

After that I decided to switch to "VOB files mode".

I recoded the movie in "VOB files" mode another time and there was sound when I played it back with Win Media player. When I tried to play it the second time, no sound again.

I tried Nero Show time, no sound. Any ideas?
