I want to buy a desktop replacement laptop. I will be using it to capture via firewire and encode with Procoder. Do I need to have a graphics card installed or would onboard do? It does make a serious difference to the price.
Cheers

The capturing and editing you'll do won't take advantage of the graphics card's power, no matter how expensive it is. Take that money and get extra memory instead, or a faster processer -- those will help you.

Thanks for the quick reply, just the ticket. Time to have a look at the bank account
