My Sony DVP-NS32 does not play all AVI files. I got these movies in AVI format from a friend, and I do not know, which codecs have been used. Could it possibly be that the Sony DVP-NS32 does not decode these files?
Is there an alternative firmware for Sony DVP-NS32, which could help to watch these movies? Does anyone know where one could get it.
Cheers,
linomics

As far as I know, Sony dvd players will not play mpeg4 avi files, and there is no firmware update to resolve this.
