Hello!
Just brought home a Pioneer dv-343 and tried to play a vcd on it. Now, I've played this vcd before on a Cyberhome ad-l 528 and it worked fine, but on the dv-343 it's in black&white. Could this be fixed by trying to burn it with another program or is there a problem with the player? The vcd was done with WinOnCD.
And another question. When playing dvd's the picture in some dark areas will "flicker", kind of like watching a movie projector, the brightness seems to go up and down (hard to explain) it's not as bad as it sounds, but it is noticable. This is also something that don't appear on the Cyberhome ad-l 528. Could there be something wrong with my pioneer?
Maybe it doesn't sound like it, but a really like the pioneer's crisp clear colors.
The player is connected to my TV with a SCART cable.
Thanks in advance!

Solved the problem with black&white playing. Apparently the vcd was in NTSC and the player was on auto detect. Forcing playback to PAL solved the problem.
