    how would i merge an AVI file with a SRT, because the ipod doesnt support SRT files does it? i dont really know much about the file or its codec or anything like that, but isnt there a program that just as suimple as AVI and SRT in, and AVI with subtitles out?

    We have both a Subtitle Forum and a Portable Video Forum. You may be able to find an answer there. Or as an alternative, you can hard code subtitles in with VirtualDub. You won't be able to turn them off, though.
