    hi, my dvd's look fine on my 19inch 1240x1024 (maybe the 1240 was different) but upconverting, is that gona be just for bigger screens and does my x-box 360 do it, no where says if it upconverts dvd's, ive searched for 30mins

    Most LCD and Plasma screen with much laerger apparent real estate - say a 40 or 50 inch - actually have a lower real resolution than your monitor.

    My reading of their propoganda is that it acts as a standard resolution, progressive DVD player. No upconverting. This doesn't surprise me, as they will be wanting you to by the HD DVD add-one when it becomes available if you want these features.

    i think i saw one bullet point saying it makes ur dvd's look better but no real facts

    Progressive can do that, depending on the disc and the player.

    i can save time by spraying my screen with anti-dust polish therefore saving time to watch a dvd
