  1. Im getting rather annoyed now these days. most of my copied DVD movies freezes or skip back to other chapters. It happens if only the tinyest scratch is on the disc. It also happens to mostly any disc i've recorded on and i have tried alot of different good brands through out the time.
The wierd part is that its worst with the movies burned on my old NEC dvd burner but its better with my new NEC-3540A though the problem still persists..
when i try and play back some REALLY old original movies with scratches it works just fine but it cant handle the copied ones

What is the problem.. my first thought is the player and i cant think its the DVD-R's and the burner should be good but copy software i dont know.. i use DVD decrypter to burn with..

    Please help me.

Please tell which region DVD do you watch.
If your DVD player was hacked to multiregion.

Where are you? US, EuropeNTSC/PAL. More info please...

Does your player have Precision Drive 2 or 3 built-in?
Does it happen when you watch R2 or R1 and R3 DVDs?

I have DAV-SR2 from Sony with similar problem.

  5. i have no idea actually aobut those details of the player.. though some that might not play on the sony cant even play on my DVD recorder but it must be because of too many scratches.
    unless they are burnt wrong?

btw. anyone know any good method of removing scratches?

Always use quality media for DVD recording.

I use Verbatim and don't have any problems.
