guys,
how long do you think would it take to tipp off the subtitle of a 100min film. I will have to make subs for 10 films over the summer, all about 90-100min long and already subbed. the thing is that they are only subbed on press tapes and we need to have seperat sub files so we can show them, when we screen from 35mm (as they dont have any subs inside the print).
I would count with more than 12 hours for each film... waht do you say?
i would use the sub. workshop, or can you think of a better software?
thx

In general, you need about 2-3 times the actual running time for sub'ing the film. It also depends on your typing speed, and how precisely you want to match up the dialog.
You may be able to save some work, if the film is popular enough, by searching for subs in a popular language, run it through a machine translator (like Babelfish or the new Google Translate) and fix that up.
