I wonder what would be a common reason for that slight delay (like 2-3 seconds) happening every time DVD player reads a next chapter or title.... What I mean by saying "reads next
chapter or title"?...
Well... Let's say a Title Menu has four thumbnail images representing four different movies. I highlight a thumbnail of the movie I want to watch and I press "Enter" on DVD player's remote control. !!!HERE!!! That takes about 2-3 seconds before it starts playing. It looks like DVD player searches for the right place on DVD disk to start playing.
Or let's say.... DVD disk I made in Scenarist shows a Warning clip as soon as a user puts the disk into the player. The warning movie (in Scenarist, let's call it as "Title_01") lasts for about 1 minute. Then it should automatically go to play TITLE_02 which is the animated MENU.
But even here the DVD players spends two-three seconds before it starts playing a Title_02.
I am almost sure it is because DVD player search/read time. Since if I play the same DVD disk using computer it plays way smoother. No delays between the chapters or titles.
You press the button - the movie plays a fraction of second after that! I wish my DVD player would have the same play/read performance.
I wonder what I could do to increase readability of the DVD disk. Since the destination of the disk is DVD player not the computer.
Should I lower a bit rate of video encoding? But will it make a difference? May be some brand of the DVD media that is being read by DVD players better? Should I try different software to authore DVD?
I noticed that film DVDs I purchased in stores or rented in Blockbuster have the same isusue with delay between the chapters but not in that extend!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here is another attept to illustrate this problem using different situation....
Let's say the disk I made has a MAIN MENU. There are several buttons on it's screen.
One of the buttons is "SEE CHAPTERS".
If I click "SEE CHAPTERS" button DVD brings me to "See Chapter" screen where I see all chapters of the movie listed. If I change my mind and decide to return to the MAIN MENU I would choose "Back To The Main Menu" and DVD would bring me to "MAIN MENU" clip.
What I would like is SPEED.
I mean if I press "See Chapters" - half of second - I am there!
Not like 3-4 seconds!
I decided to go the Main Menu - click - 0.5 second - I am on Main Menu! (again it would take 3-4 seconds in my case).
While 3-4 seconds don't sound like a lot... but after navigating throughout DVD disk for a while it becomes apparent and even annoying. Every time you click the button - be ready for 3-4 second wait time.
As I mentioned above this problem doesn't exist with DVD that were manufactered (DVD with the movies on it).
Is it limitation of recordable DVD media? I can see there is a difference in a appearance of the DVD that I purchased in a store and recorded DVD (the one from the store has gold like coloring while recordable one is more bluish).
Well. Back to the topic.
The question here is what could be done to increase the reach/read time spent by DVD player during playback.
Thanks in advance! -

no, Dvd player plays commercial pressed DVD fine!
The delay happens only with recordable DVD disks.
I have two different models of DVD players of two different brands.
Both players play commercial pressed DVDs with no delay.
And both players play recorded DVDs with 3 to 4 seconds pause between the titles... -
Okay, what brand and models of DVD players are you having the issues with?
What brand of media are you using? What's the media ID? + or - R?
Look up your DVD player in the listing here and see how well it performs and wether other people have trouble with a particular type of media in it (or them).
