I just purchased a pack of Maxell printable DVD-R and find that the media code is CMC MAG AE1. According to nomorecoasters.com these are 4th class media!! Anyone come across these? Are they any good or should I just return them before I use them? I've never had this media code with Maxell before now.

There are two Maxell DVD-Rs, Made in Japan and Made in Taiwan. Sorry, the Made in Taiwan are the notorious CMC MAG. I accidentally bought some from Wal-Mart when they started switching stock over to MIT. No coasters from the spindle of 25, but i may have just gotten lucky. I'll only buy Maxell off the shelf now, where I can check where they are made.
