  1. I was wondering, because one of players plays +R and the other only plays -R. When you buy a DVD movie from the store, is it on a +R or a -R? How do they make it play on ALL DVD players?

    Totally different type of disc altogether. Writable disc (+R/-R) use a chemical dye compound to record the information. Commercial discs are manufactured in a completely different way.
