Yesterday, ffmpegX's SVCD (ffmpeg) preset worked fine. Installed the latest Quicktime update, tried to convert an AVI to SVCD this morning and got the same error for every AVI that I tried:

"Unable for [sic] find a suitable output format."

Did the latest Quicktime update break something in ffmpegX?

ffmpegX 0.0.9w r2, SVCD ffmpeg preset and QuickTime 7.1 works for me.

I forgot to add that I'm using r3 and QT 7.1. I notice that Case is using r2 with no problem.

r2 works for me with and without Decode with QT selected.
r3 gives mentioned error when Decode with QT is selected.
r3 works when Decode with QT is not selected.

Nice work! The QT update clearly did something that r3 doesn't like.

    Major,

Is there an older version of ffmpegX and binaries that I can download that works fully with QT 7.1?

  8. I just updated to QT 7.1 and I'm testing to see what changed exactly.

  9. I don't see any problems with r3 and QT 7.1, perhaps I'll post a r4 solving an issue with the denoise filter.

Is the issue with the denoise filter what's causing the format error I'm having with the SVCD (ffmpeg) preset?

  11. Sorry, I found the error too now. I'm looking into it.

  12. 0.0.9w r4 is now online, please try it, perhaps it should solve.

Thanks, Major. That seems to have fixed it. Now for the mpeg2enc bitrate problem . . .
