BIZARRE Capturing issue w/ATI - 0.01 framerate???

Okay so this is crazy..

I'm running MMC 9.03 now w/my 9600XT and the newest download of Catalyst from the website (not sure of the version #).

I've done a couple of captures using the built in presets for MMC (MPEG, ATI video, etc) and they've worked ok.

BUT..

When I go in and try to map a new preset for AVI (using HuffyUV, UYUY, whatever) and set it for 704x480 and 48000 khz Stereo, the framerate defaults to 0.01 frames per second.

I can go back in, edit the preset, change it to 29.97, and then 'save' the preset...it goes right back to 0.01 framerate.

And to top it off, when I then try to do a capture using that preset (just to see what happens), I get the BSOD...and have to reboot.

This is crazy.

Any ideas?

I'm having the same identical problem with MMC 9.06. I see this post is a few months old--have you resolved it yet? I'm using the version of Catalyst/MMC that came with my AIW 2006 card.

For the benefit of anyone else searching on this problem I had no framerate setting problems after upgrading to MMC 9.08. I was a bit disappointed, however to find that my maximum resoultion was 704 x 480. Virtual VCR allows me to go up to 720. Oh well.
