I have a Recco DVD Recorder that I use to tape from TV and convert from VHS to DVD, but when a friend lent me his Laserdisc player (I think, it was a Pioneer), it has vertical lines all over the screen. I tried with several discs and same result, but when I connect it straight to the TV, the image was ok.
I don't have a SCART conection from the DVD recorder, so I used the regular audio and video cables (RCA) and that's when I got this result.
Any recommendations?
Fernando

I would try Passing in through another Tuner Like a VCR, then onto the DVD Recorder,Unless you have a TBC,(If you Did I'm guessing you would have tried that)

Those lines are generated by the recorder when it detects the macorvision protection signal from the laser disc player. You need a box like "red box pro" to removed that macrovision signal, so the recorder won't produces those lines.

EDIT:
Seeing as you edited your post,
he still is not getting a macrovision signal from the LD player.
