  1. Just leased a 1998 jeep grand cherokee and found out that only some blank CD's work in it, not just different brands or anything cause I tried two music cd's burned on exact same type of CD and one worked an the other didn't. Anyone know a solution to this problem?

Is it a stock jeep stereo? I know my friends 1998 wrangler had the same problem. I currently have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and they have fixed this problem newer (tech). I think blank cds were just getting into the main stream in 98 or so, and not many stock cd players were equiped to play cdr's, just as some still aren't able to play rw's today. Only thing I can tell you that will fix your problems is to put in an aftermarket cd player.

  3. Someone put a fancy High dollar CD Radio in my pickup truck, even has a remote control for it.
    Kinda stupid I think

Radio probably cost more than what I paid for the truck.
Well some disks work and some don't. Even the same disk does not work all the time.
Nothing wrong with the CD player for playing comercail CDs, it works everytime.
Nothing wrong with the CDRs they work perfect everytime in other players.

Player in the truck and CDRs is just an iffey thing. Iffey it works I listen to it, iffey it don't then I listen to something else.

Don't know how old that radio is, looks kinda new.

    Burn them slow.
When a disk works half the time and half the time I get an error, you think if the disk had been burnt slower it would work better?

Maybe I'll burn a new copy slow and see if it helps in mine. I need another copy anyway they get banged around in the truck a bit.

Just make sure both CDs work if it's a double set.

Being able to listen to disc 1 of Quadrophenia on a long trip but not disc 2 is not fun.

  7. I geuss so,

I just have basic songs so it doesn't matter on that about 2 disks set for me really.
What good is a CD player in a Noisey truck anyway, I am thinking about pulling it out and putting it in the little motorhome. Then it would not be quite so dumb having a remote control for it

As it is, the radio is closer to me in the truck than the remote for it normally

  8. Make sure they are burned DAO with no gap between tracks. I have seen that prevent playback on some cars.
