anyway to retrieve lost video?

I was recording on a stand alone recorder. I was using a RW disc. Power was lost before the end of the recording. So the recorder didn’t finalize the disc. Is there anyway to retrieve the video that was recorded?

try isobuster and see if it can find something

My computer couldn't read a DVD_RW that is not finalized. Did you try to put the RW in the DVD recorder and ask it to finalize it ? What does it say when it read the disc ? Can it even detect what's been recorded there ?

When I turned the DVD recorder back on it was as if I had a blank disc in there. I was just hoping that all was not lost but It’s probably a long shot to be able to retrieve it.

Ok, I tried ISObsuter and it found the files. However, I cannot get them out. When I try to extract it goes thru the menu and I can do a save as “vob” but when I hit save it doesn’t save anything. Am I doing something wrong?
