    If I have DAT files is there an easy way to burn VCD or DVD so that I can play in my DVD player ?? Do I loose any clarity ?? Thanks..

    get the free version of VCDEasy available on the tool's page. import the dat and see what it says. you may have to extract the mpeg from the dat before making the vcd. you won't lose anything. the final step will be burning to cd.

    How do I conevrt to mpeg from dat file ?? Any free tools ??

    Import track then right-click and select "Treat as Video ONLY,Extract but filter only MP2....".

    If you have the DAT, or a BIN/CUE image of a VCD, you can also use VCDgear to extract the MPEG video from it/them.
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

  6. I managed to do using using VCDeasy but be wanred few DAT files are not encoded properly and then you will start experiencing issue of Audio out-of-sync. I have one VCD that I tried 3 times with different programs and none gave me right results but here dat file was at fault.

    to get an mpeg out of a dat you can use vcdeasy (version 3.1 is what i use) - click tools in the left column then mpeg tools in the top selections and "convert a mpeg with riff header(.dat file) to true mpeg file" .
