  1. This is a warning to help you avoid what I've been through.

NeoDVD v7 crashes no matter what you do. Direct to disc never works. Authoring to the hard drive doesn't work either. The audio is way out of sync. It doesn't work even if it is the ONLY DVD authoring or burning software residing on the computer on a clean Windows XP SP2 system.

Tech support was even worse than the product itself. No matter what you write to them, they can't seem to read plain English. They don't even have telephone support. I'm guessing that would really reveal the "me-no-speak-English" factor. I called up the corporate office to do the backdoor attempt at finding an intelligent support person while calling on my dime. Even the receptionist was hard to understand. Come on!! This is a USA based firm – is it too much to expect to at least be able to talk with someone? (FYI: Don't take this wrong. It has NOTHING to to with racism. It has EVERYTHING to do with basic business practice.)

I am attempting to return NeoDVD 7. That should be an adventure also.

This is simply a horrible product. Do yourself a favor and don't buy it.

Yeah, no surprise. This software has been a worthless piece of crap since version 4. I don't understand why people buy it, the free trial sucks too. If you want "direct to disc" recordings, grab a DVD recorder and leave the computer out of it.
