    Hi folks,

I can't back up this title using my usual tried and trusted anydvd/clonedvd2 combo. Has anyone else come across this problem? I've pdated to the latest versions of both progs but I'm still no further forward.

Maybe try ripping with DVDFab Decrypter then feeding that into CloneDVD ?

Do you get an error ? The wording of the error might stand out to some of the members here.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Sounds like the same problem a friend had with his copy of Hostel....updating to the latest version of AnyDVD fixed that problem...

Ok then with FAB Decryptor it gets about 90% done and then all I can hear is the drive churning away attempting to read something that isn't there. With clonedvd2 I get the processing page, hit go and get the following pop up box "Please be sure that all input files are available and that they represent a properley mastered dvd"

In the log section I have

    Processing Started
Found and corrected IFO format errors
    Truncated invalid Title Unit Entries
    Processing stopped unexpected error

I'm leaning towards thinking I've got a faulty disc

Sounds like a classic "deliberate mastering errors" scenario. I don't like your chances of getting a replacement, and I don't think it will make any difference

It may be a case of needing to either wait until DVDFab Decrypter and/or AnyDVD release a new version to get around it (should only take a couple of days ) or try to use a couple of tools in complement to each other, such as VOBBlanker to rip and/or run one of your ripped folders though FixVTS.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Cracked it. Removed the option to jump straight to the main menu in anydvd and clone is doing its thing, fingers crossed it comes out properly

Just had a spin through of the back up and no problems, time to chalk another one up to user error, still its something to think of next time there is a similar problem
