Burning CD-R with MP3 and having show up as Files?

When ever i put in a CD with regular audio, i can select the songs by number with the remote on my DVD player, OK, but when placing a CD-R with 165 MP3 songs, i get a list on screen where i can scroll and select, but cannot select songs by number. Question is, how should i burn the MP3's on the media so that i can select them using number selection on remote? thanks

It would help to know what type of dvd player you are using, what kind of media you are using, what mode you are burning in, and what software you are using to burn your cd's.

The DVD player is a Sanyo DWM-370, it plays just about everything.

the MP3's made with audiocatalyst 2.1, and burned on CD-R as Data.

I have no problem playing files, and they do get listed with complete file name they way they are on CD-R, example:

Jaded - Aerosmith

weird thing is that at bottom of sceen, every song also has a number displayed such as 56 of 165 etc.

I was thinking maybe there is a way to config in Nero so that i'll be able to direct select songs using number keypad on remote
