syncing PC and Hard Disk Recorder..

I have never done this before but can anyone tell me how I can sync my PC (adobe premiere 6.5) and my hard disk recorder. PC will handle all footages and editing while the hard disk recorder handles sound

I'm not sure you can, at least electronically. You might use something similar to the old clappers they used in the movies. The sound of the clapper can be synced to the video by using the exact frame that it closes on. This would apply to a live recording, such as a camcorder. There is probably other ways to do the same thing.
