SEDG to DIVX

Hi all,

Just got my Samsung SC-X205L...

Great litle camera...

One problem, the codec used is a propriatary codec from what I can read on the net. So I though I'd post here to find out what tool is best to convert from SEDG to DIVX so I can post my videos on the internet for all to see...

I need to convert this SEDG FOURCC AVI file to DIVX.

I know there's a codec to install but I dont want people to have to install another codec just to view my vids....

So my question is how do I canvert this SEDG FOURCC avi file to standard DIVX?

Ok,

It wasnt realy clear what needed to be done but here it is for everyone to know.

1) You need to download the FOURCC changer. Just do a google search on "FOURCC changer". From what I see, there is only 1 version and it's 1.0 (it's only 1 file "avic.exe)

2) Start the little application (avic.exe)

3) Click the little folder Icon, and browse to your AVI file.

4) You will see that the "FourCC Description Code: " and " FourCC Used Code: " will be populated with SEDG.

5) On the " FourCC Used Code: " field, enter DX50 (uppercase) and click the Apply button.

6) You will get a message confirming that the FourCC code has been set. Now you can view your video file... Enjoy

have you tried any converter? Best is virtualdub but dr divx is easier...or if you want the new .divx container use divx converter and it is super simple to use, drag and drop and convert.

or have you tried a converter and it doesn't work at all?

All apps I tried: DIVX Converter and VirtualDub state that the codec is not supported.
