I have just connected my PC to my TV useing S-Video and Hi Fi cables
My PC uses a Nvidia Geforce FX5200 graphics board.
The picture I get on the TV is not the full picture that is on the PC, I lose about an inch around the screen of the Windows Desk top picture, Also when playing a movie from my PC I only get the centre section of the picture the top, bottom and sides are are not shown ?
Any help in correcting this is appreciated. Thanks

Look in the Glossary under overscan. All Tv's do it. Unless you have any picture size adjustments in the software for your video card, there's nothing you can do about it.

Have a look in the video card's setting's and you will find the screen adjustment's you need .
Also make sure your pc screen is using a video setting that is more closely match in relation to the tv setup as well .
Such as 16:9 vs 4:3 output ... you will find this in the dual desktop setup .
Right click on desktop , choose properties , setting's tab , advanced button , geforce fx???? tab .
A new side panel will display , it is here you find the adjustment's .
Tv output is not available unless tv is connected prior to pc startup .

I play dvd's and more in a small window on the pc , and the tv output is full screen ... allow's me to continue my work while friend's can enjoy watching video's -
Bjs
Please could you tell me what graphics card you are useing?
Thanks
