I have a winfast tv 2000 expert tv card and am capturing tv using the PICVID MJPEG codecs.
My audio is set to use PCM at 48.000 khz 16 Bit stereo 187kb/sec, however I have noticed an annoying hiss during playback. Its not there in the original recording so Im guessing my settings are whats causing it but not sure how to fix it.
Can someone please suggest what I can do to record without the hiss?
Thanks for the help.

It may be the audio card. Then again, are you sure it's really not in the tape? Is the VCR mono to the tv?

Okay work this out, I created a new capture profile with the exact same settings as the one that was casuing the hissing, using PICVID MJpeg codecs and audio as above and the audio is fine without any hissing. If I switch back to the originl one aI get hissing. Not sure why that is so I just deleted the old one anyway.
